The Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) is a federal grant created to provide funding directly to fire departments to help increase or maintain the number of trained, "front line" firefighters.

New Engine 152 was placed in service on August 19, 2021. Engine 152 will serve as the first out apparatus at Station 152 located on E. Eight Mile Rd. The purchase of E152 was another monumental step in replacing aging apparatus with funds from "Measure N".

​Last night the Waterloo Morada Fire District Board said goodbye to a longtime friend and volunteer. Bill Snyder (pictured on the left) joined the WMFD in 1986 as a Volunteer Firefighter. In 1996, he was elected to the Board of Directors and has served with dedication for 23 years. Bill retired from San Joaquin County Public Works a few years ago and plans to do more traveling.
